Logitech G27 Racing Wheel review
I purchased the Racing Wheel about six months ago. This racing wheel is like having a car in your home. It really feels like you are driving a real car. The realism is fantastic you can feel the bumps, the rubble strips and the gravel in the road. I have had my share of racing wheels but this wheel is one of the most realistic racing wheels on the market. The quality of the Logitech G27 Racing Wheel surpasses my expectations due to all vital components are made of metal.
A few days after I purchase the Logitech G27 Racing Wheel, I discovered that I could not tighten the wheel on my desk and suddenly I saw the problem, the right plastic arm has been broken. I have no idea how this happened. However, I called the customer care center in my region and they took care of the problem immediately. The one thing that is a disappointment with this racing wheel is the plastic fasteners that are used to clamp the wheel and shifter to your desk. They feel a little delicate and feel like they might break if you over tighten.
While the quality is a feature of the Logitech G27 Racing Wheel that really sets it apart from other racing wheels on the market some owners, do not feel the same. According to several reviews on Amazon.com, shortly after purchasing the racing wheel owners started experiencing that the wheel would not keep alignment. The owners feel this is due to defective racing wheels and failures will be discovered immediately so they can return the defective wheel for a new one. These owners still feel the Logitech Racing Wheel is a comparative bargain and want to stick with this model.
My favorite qualities of the Logitech G27 Racing Wheel are the ease of use, accessibility, comfort and the construction quality. The leather on the wheel is so much better than the standard plastic that is on most racing wheels. The wheel feels smooth and there is no noise when moving it. The pedals and shifter are amazing especially when playing a simulation game. The six-speed shift gives the user the ultimate driving experience. In addition, the force feedback is adjustable and can be adjusted in numerous ways. The one disadvantage that I find is there is a little more free play on center than what I like. Another disadvantage is that the racing wheel is not compatible with all games. Nevertheless, anyone who is serious about racing knows that Logitech makes a good product.

The gearing system allows extraordinary quiet steering. With the six-speed shifter, the user can quickly shift into the right gear for a straightaway or an upcoming turn. The reverse gear realistically allows the user to back up. The indicator lights on the panel is a feature that lets the user know exactly when to shift. The Logitech G27 Racing Wheel is custom tuned so there is no lag and this allows the user to feel every wheel movement. Other features include the steel clutch pedals, and gas and brake petals. This device has 16 programmable buttons and a steel leather wrapped wheel so the user can feel a true racing experience. As you see on the picture, it can be easily mounted on Playseats Evo seat.

Approximately one-fourth of the total reviews on Amazon felt the Logitech G27 Racing Wheel was a product worthy of a three star rating or below. Many of these owners had problems with the wheel not keeping proper alignment. Other complaints consisted of the attachment system for the wheel and it not sticking very well to their tables or desks. In these owners opinion the attachment system was a step backwards. Several of the reviews also found that cable management needed improvement. The biggest disappointment was that the racing wheel is not supported by GT5. Some reviewers even felt the wheel realistic feeling was nothing special. The general accord was that unless you are a racing enthusiast of specific games that support force feedback that the price and bad design layout are not worth it. The majority of these owners felt the racing wheel was quality constructed but they were dissatisfied with the overall system.
